Easily the best food in the city! Always love bringing family and friends to this gem. Oxtail, Piononos, and ceviche were our favorite food items! Spicy girl was my favorite drink.

My daughter celebrated her 21st with some friends and they had a wonderful time! There was a mariachi band that sang to them! Food is good and ambience is social media worthy :) Definitely recommend!

Out favorite restaurant ever!! We go out of our way every time we are in Chicago to go to Maya. The nachos are our fav and the Pickana Margaritas are the absolute best!!

Beautiful brunch experience! From the engaging details of PUBLICO that were thoughtfully designed on the 1st floor space to the cozy “red glass room” which created a fun ambiance. The Latin American brunch menu which my church friend, Jan ordered a delicious double crab cake benedict with perfectly cooked poached eggs and a drizzle of hollandaise sauce complimented with roasted potatoes. I thoroughly enjoyed my order of the El Americano — eggs made to order (chose perfectly scrambled eggs), with 3 meats of sliced ham, maple bacon and chorizo sausage link along with those great roasted potatoes. Yum!!! Will definitely be back to try the dinner menu. Also service was very attentive by manager, Sandra, because we arrived for a late brunch at 1:30pm-2pm so there was just a few other tables. I think it was so new only 3 months open that this place — AltaVida! is a best kept secret because they haven’t done any advertising or promotion that they’re open for weekend brunch yet.

Every dish we tried were amazing even pleasing my picky 12yr old. Don’t skip the dessert! Chocolate cake and donuts were to die for!
