Since I was 13 years old, I've been in the restaurant industry. I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality. My family & I believe that having a successful restaurant is a simple formula - give people what they want: Good Food, Good Service and Good Value. Consistently excellent. We return time and time again. Best homemade pita and hummus around. All mains cooked to perfection - Branzino, Lamb and Chicken Sultani. Amazing tartufo!

It was our first visit to Medi-Bistro but will not be our last. We were a group of 11 for lunch on a Sunday and found it to be a delightful choice. Its central location in downtown White Plains with free parking in the garage made it very convenient. The ambiance is lovely—upscale but not stuffy. The food was amazing!! The stuffed vine leaves were a notch above the usual thanks to the pomegranate sauce, the grilled shrimp were excellent as were the hummus and the smoked eggplant spread. We tried a variety of main courses from chicken kabobs and lamb kabobs to roasted salmon and several stews—everything was excellent! At that point, we were pretty stuffed but we got several plates of baklava with Persian ice cream to share and were so glad we did!

First time. Met Peter who is VERY present in the front of the house which a nice. Seemed understaffed as service was the weak spoke. But the meat was very nicely done and the busy staff were all friendly. Will be back.
