Deme, short for Demeter, (the Greek Goddess of the Harvest) is a new Eastern Mediterranean and Aegean Sea-inspired poolside eatery at Hotel Figueroa, with nods to the sea-faring communities along the Eastern Mediterranean Coast, Turkey, and Israel, led by Executive Chef Blake Shailes. Think: housemade Mediterranean dips served with freshly made pita bread using a combination of ancient Kamut flour and Tehachapi Farms Red Fife Flour, Crispy Lobster Kataifi, Turkish Manti (Turkish Lamb Dumplings), Lahmacun (Turkish Pizza // Spiced Wagyu Flatbread), a Greek-inspired Glazed Octopus & Grilled Grape Skewers, and large-format platters designed for shareable feasts including Slow Cooked Lamb Neck Shawarma, Half Heritage Chicken Mansaf and desserts including housemade Baklava, and housemade Soft Serve paired with a refreshing and playful cocktail program developed by Bar Director, Milosz Cieslak. Open for dinner nightly from 5pm - close.

Levant Bistro is a place to gather with friends and family to experience delicious Levantine cuisine and freshly baked pastries, served with our unique beverages. We believe that good food feeds the tummy and soul, so it is to be respected and cooked with positive intentions, using organic, clean practices and foods free of artificial additives, harmful ingredients, or GMOs.Our menu is created around seasonal ingredients that we prepare fresh every day, so our selections vary based on availability. We use extra-virgin olive oil and grapeseed oil for sautéing; organic ghee, grass-fed butter, and/or grapeseed oil for baking; and we sweeten our desserts with organic cane sugar, organic coconut sugar and/or local raw honey.     Highly recommend this place! I’ve been here so many times because the small plates are well priced and always delicious. I would pay more if they charged more because the food is that good. This is my favorite mediterranean restaurant in LA. We had the glazed pork, sea bass, brussels sprouts, mac and cheese, lamb hummus, and “the best cake”. The lamb hummus with pita was to die for and the cake is my favorite gluten free dairy free way to end any meal. Best. Cake. Ever. We’re still talking about this meal days later. The silverlake location is definitely the most beautiful one and the biggest with its multiple levels of seating within the trees.
