Nestled high above LoHi on the fifth floor of 2930 Umatilla, El Five boasts spectacular, unobstructed views of the downtown Denver skyline. The menu is an homage to the Mediterranean and features small plates built on bold flavors found throughout the region: Spain, North Africa, the Middle East.     Took my boyfriend here for his bday and it was an absolutely exceptional curated experience! The food was 11/10, I would have done the wine pairing but we wanted some Negronis (which were also out of this world.). John the owner and chef, took fantastic care of us and cooked, made all the drinks AND made sure that at no point did our water glass drop below 1/3 empty. The tasting menu was everything and the duck was life changing. I think my favorite though was the dessert which was a delicious espresso custard in a house tempered chocolate shell. Will absolutely be going back!! If you have doubts please go and give it a shot! Highly recommended!!
