Every dish is prepared to highlight freshness and flavour - tartness from pomegranate, dried lime and barberries, fresh herbs, nuts and seeds, yogurt and aromas of saffron, turmeric, rose, and sumac. Signature sourdough flatbread and crispy rice aka tahdeeg, as well as charcoal-finished chicken and beef, a rotation of vegetables dishes with produce from local farms. Desserts include date and walnut baklava and turmeric cake with orange blossom buttercream and saffron ice cream.     Zarak is our favourite restaurant in Vancouver, so we always know we’re in for a treat when we go. This time, we changed it up and went for brunch (our first time). The food was amazing, the portions were generous, and the service was great!

    The tasting menu was a wise and no doubt popular choice. You get to choose your favourite dish in each category on the menu, and can then order new or repeat choices on the next round. All for a reasonable fixed price. The variety and sumptuous flavours were a delight, made all the more enjoyable by the live piano and guitar music. And the volume level was perfect, enabling easy conversation with table companions. Good service, too! I'll be going back many times.

    I have been many times as well as ordered thru Uber eats often & this was the first time we had the group menu .. absolutely delish .. all the faves kept coming to the table .. highly recommend and book a group dinner here.. so great because you can try so much more .. we were 9 and all of the guests mentioned that they can’t wait to go back !

    We ordered the flat bread and the dips were delicious! Their special was short ribs and it was definitely the highlight.
