The Ivy restaurant has been a firm fixture on London’s dining and social scene since 1917. The restaurant and private room upstairs are the epitome of real glamour. We are a natural wine bar and restaurant in the heart of Soho - we change our menu weekly and cook with the seasons using the best ingredients the season has to offer. The staff at the bar and in the restaurant were very friendly and welcoming, I didn’t feel rushed at all. The food was also delicious (I had the sea bream) and portions were very generous. Lots of great options on the menu so have to come back to try them :).

Wonderful ambience, great service and food was delicious. We had the cheese soufflé, butternut squash soup to start, Goose and Turkey Shepherds Pie, haddock and chips and risotto for our main courses. Friendly service and we were in and out in an hour and a half, in time for a theatre matinee at 2pm.

Overall an “okay” experience but at over £30 for. Sunday lunch errs on the expensive side . Service charge set at 15% in line with US with no valid justification whatsoever, you do have the option to amend down but only if you ask. We won’t be going back , which is a shame as has the potential to be really great, however the over inflated prices and the US style tipping is a big no no
