The Ivy restaurant has been a firm fixture on London’s dining and social scene since 1917. The restaurant and private room upstairs are the epitome of real glamour. We are a natural wine bar and restaurant in the heart of Soho - we change our menu weekly and cook with the seasons using the best ingredients the season has to offer. In February 2022, the renowned British-Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare CBE RA, and project architect India Mahdavi transformed the Gallery with a new installation of artworks and interiors. Shonibare’s artist-conceived vision presented a new sunshine-yellow setting designed by Mahdavi, marking a new culture-defining chapter for sketch in its 20th year. Using applique and embroidery techniques on richly dyed fabrics, Shonibare illuminates the influence of African traditions on European conceptions of our modern-day world.

A belated Christmas dining gift for my husband. We chose Sola as we’d seen Victor on Masterchef the professionals, and as enthusiastic foodies, we really liked the look of the snacks that he prepared on the show! We were not disappointed!! Fabulous lunch! Highlights were obviously the devilled egg, but really, the whole meal was exquisite! Such beautiful presentation, the whole theatre which we didn’t expect, but absolutely loved!! We also felt very well looked after by the friendly waiting staff and the wonderful sommelier! We’d love to come back and try the evening tasting menu. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I like this restaurant a great deal. The ingredients are always fresh and the choice of dishes seasonal. This time, I had an Italian beef stew. My colleague had skate. Both dishes were superb. The bread was as good as ever. I’m very glad that I discovered this place when I started working in Soho.

Nice central venue. Good atmosphere and fairly busy. Service was good and good as expected at Slug and lettuce. Good for an enjoyable lunch near tourist centres.
