Hudson's Bar & Grill is located inside the Heathman Lodge Hotel Vancouver WA.Executive Chef Joe Reid joins Hudson’s with more than 20 years of culinary experience under his belt. Joe grew up in the Pacific Northwest. After graduating from the Western Culinary Institute, Joe started at a 4 diamond steakhouse in Lake Tahoe. He then moved back to the NW and began his culinary career as a Banquet Chef at the Multnomah Athletic Club. Since then, he has worked in various positions at multiple restaurants including Morton’s The Steakhouse, Salishan Lodge and Brand Chef at Stanford’s. He has a passion for mentoring his team and helping them reach their full potential.

Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. What a great place. Took my girlfriend there for a bday dinner. It was great to watch the chefs cook. The place was full but it didn’t feel crowded. The food was AMAZING. We started with focaccia and prosciutto, and the trout caesar salad. Yum! The salad was better than I expected. Really delish. Then we had a fish special with pine nuts, pesto and fried potatoes that was out of this world. And we went for the crab truffle primi even though they ran out of crab. Very rich and good. We had the bucini dessert which also delicious. We had a few cocktails and an orange wine -all really great. Service was just perfect. Would definitely return.

This was our third visit in two months and we plan on more in the future. We loved the coconut shrimp appetizer and the wonderful tossed Cesar Salad . As always the entries unique in Salty's own way and delicious. Whitney our server was a delight and very helpful. And, a special thanks to the chef's who do their best it seems at all times.

We went for Christmas. Limited menu with four entrees. At our table we had the pork loin, prime rib, and salmon entrees. Each of these meals were excellent! All commented best restaurant meal any of us had in a long time. Beautiful restaurant, wonder service.
