Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients.Smart business casual.     Had an awesome Post Valentine’s Day lunch at C&S in Sandy Springs with my partner. I had visited this location once before years ago and it was my partner’s first visit. Everything was exceptional. We had no wait and were greeting soon after we were seated by our waiter. All of the wait staff was very attentive. We had the deviled eggs and chargrilled oysters for starters. Next time we would get more oysters and skip the deviled eggs. For our mains the red snapper, fried shrimp and the sides were top notch. We can’t wait to return.

    We had an incredible experience for Valentines dinner at Seven Lamps. The steaks with blue cheese butter were so flavorful and had the perfect crust. The bread pudding was phenomenal and definitely not one to sleep on!! Our server Janelle was amazing. She was so personable, knowledgeable, and really enhanced an already special evening. 10/10

    Made a reservation specifically to go have oysters and ended up having a little bit of everything on the menu, and it was all delicious. Our server was so kind to answer our gazillion questions, made informed recommendations, and also talked TikTok videos with our table. Admittedly, this wasn’t a spot high on my wish list, but it’s become one of my faves after one visit!
