Jim Goode's love of seafood was born from a childhood spent along the sun-soaked Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast. It was this love for coastal dishes, Cajun flavors and time spent together that Jim passed down to his own kids - and to the plates still on our menu today. Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette (LKRO) prides itself in it’s Oyster Bar. The multiple use seating at and around the Oysterette is inviting and friendly. The huge oyster, fresh seafood and whole fish display showcases seasonality and the vastness of the seafood offerings at LKRO. A traditional Japanese Robata Grill and a vertical 'Trompo' Grill are part of the Oysterette’s flexibility in a small space making the 'mini-kitchen' capable of producing freshly shucked oysters, grilled oysters, sushi, seafood towers and fresh carved tacos.Moving into the main kitchen, the menu is just as wide and deep with a variety of local and regional seafood dishes and local Texas Beef. Excellent excellent excellent. The service is so good! Hannah has been our server twice and she’s fantastic. The food is wonderful, we haven’t had one item we haven’t liked in multiple trips. Try it!

We used to go to San Jacinto Inn as kids, so my brothers and I celebrated what would have been our parents’ 74th anniversary at La Lucha and you knocked it out of the park! Thanks so much for a memorable evening celebrating family.

Really loved the oysters and drinks. Pretty much the food they have there is really good. Always good service. But the one thing I dislike is the automatic service charge fee. Makes me really stay away from giving more on an additional tip. Don’t really know if that is going towards the waiter or if the restaurant keeping it.
