A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). Please note, there will be a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes for guests so we can fairly utilize our limited capacity. Our outdoor dining is enclosed with heaters that will keep you toasty! I’m almost reluctant to post this review because I don’t want the secret to come out as to what an amazing culinary experience I had! The food and drinks were great. Amazing local drink menu and all of the food is locally sourced. Our server was absolutely amazing and so friendly!

Great restaurant for lunch before a matinee. We had reservation for 11:30am because we were afraid later restaurant reservation or slow service might make us late for show. Not at Serafina! They were ready for us at 11:30, and service was efficient and friendly. We had a well-paced meal , time for nice conversation, and got to theatre in plenty of time.

We had a party of 13 and they setup a nice table in the back for us. The waiters were nice and really did a good job. They even took a few photos of us after with a smile. It was not too crowded which made it feel like a private room but it was by no means dead in the restaurant, as they were 80% full. Would recommend for bigger parties to consider this venue. Thanks and will plan to come again soon :)
