A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). Please note, there will be a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes for guests so we can fairly utilize our limited capacity. Our outdoor dining is enclosed with heaters that will keep you toasty! My sister and I are having a Girl's Weekend and we came here for brunch. We reserved an igloo and it was so adorable, heated nicely, and such a nice space. The only thing I would comment negatively on was the music--so loud. The host stand was amazing and Adam, our server, was fantastic. It'a a beautiful space with a great menu. We had a wonderful time.

The service was attentive, though we were the only ones in there for the first 10 minutes of our visit but even as it got busier the service was still good! The food came quickly and was delicious. We both had pizza which was cooked to perfection.
