A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). Please note, there will be a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes for guests so we can fairly utilize our limited capacity. Our outdoor dining is enclosed with heaters that will keep you toasty! I’ve always loved Serafina on Madison Avenue and have consistently had great experiences. However, last night was disappointing. Our server, an older gentleman, seemed unfriendly and was absent for much of our meal. This impacted the overall experience. I hope you can ensure that all staff members are welcoming and attentive to maintain the high standard I’ve come to expect from Serafina.

We had pre-theater dinner. Food came quickly. We ordered a bunch of apps to share - Brussels sprouts salad, roasted tomatoes, chicken wings, mac and cheese. Everything was amazing. Seasoning was perfectly balanced. Textures were gorgeous. We had s’mores for dessert and that was WOW. Not too sweet (how?? We don’t know) and a little salt. Beyond. I can’t wait to go back.
