The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). Great experience, nice place for an intimate dinner with your partner or group of friends. Lighting is low and perfect, service was lovely, place and tables is a little small but accommodating!! HIGHLY recommend any one of their pastas but not so much of their cocktails that wasn’t the best. A place I will go again!!

My wife and I have been coming here since we met over 10 years ago. We brought out 2-year old into the city for a Broadway show and decided to take a long walk up here to the east side to eat at this location. It was worth the trip down memory lane and our server and hostess understood the challenges of feeding a toddler. They were great. Thank you Serafina. We will come back “Always”.
