Volta do Mar is the culmination of a journey of discovery the founders - Isabel and Simon - made over many years. They traced their family-history through food and travel, learning how people and culture integrated and inter-married across continents and over distant seas. What they discovered on that journey was an idea that later became a restaurant - Volta do Mar – meaning; to return from the sea.Our menus at Volta do Mar showcase the delicious regional cuisine of Portugal and celebrate the international culinary confluences from its trading past. With comfortable seating for alfresco dining on the terrace, inside, Casa Victoria is set over two sun-soaked floors, with expansive windows and our signature hanging greenery. A collection of uniquely Portuguese azulejos – decorative tilework – align the walls, a traditional art crafted to welcome guests. Casa’s menu is inspired by the rich culinary history of Portugal and the wider Mediterranean. True to Portuguese tradition, there is an emphasis on cooking over a wood-charcoal grill. The restaurant has become known for piri-piri chicken, with perfectly caramelised skin and a deep flavour which comes from a brush of Casa’s secret piri-piri blend. The menu offers so much more, with small and large plates all designed to share. Everything at Casa is made fresh in-house, using top quality, locally sourced ingredients. The food is complemented with an all-Portuguese wine list, cocktails, mocktails and Super Bock beer on draught.

Named after Juan Díaz de Solis, a 16th-century explorer said to have been the first European to land on the country now known as Uruguay, Solis focuses on grilled chicken and steak, with flavour influences from both sides of the voyage, including Spain, Portugal, Uruguay, and Argentina.From the grill, (De la Parilla) features signature grilled spatchcock chicken with smoked Aji-Aji oil and flat-iron steak with peppery steak sauce, both served with Asador salad and crispy fries.For lunch or a quick bite, grab a Boccadillo, a soft brioche roll with a choice of grilled steak (with onion and a herby spread) or grilled chicken (with garlicky Mojo Verde and gordal olives).
