Great service and food. Staff were extremely thoughtful as they had a supper with Santa that we did not know about, my daughter was very scared of Santa as she is only 2, so the safe moved us to an area that wouldn’t mean her seeing him. All the other kids loved Santa.

Our server, was knowledgeable and quick to make recommendations “The star of our meal was the classic Royal Burger. It's a hearty burger, packed with flavour. “we had no room for dessert"! “The pub boasts an impressive array of craft beers and ales. Also speciality coffee's. We had a 'Baileys Latte'. Would definatley. Recommend this “For the quality and portions, the prices were reasonable. It’s a great spot for a meal that doesn’t break the bank.” To Sum it up “Whether you’re after a hearty meal or a casual drink with friends, The Royal delivers on all fronts. It’s a gem worth revisiting.”

Excellent service from the pleasant and helpful staff. The food was very nice and the Apple Crumble outstanding.

Nice meal again handy being near the Lancaster University to take our daughter out for a meal A bit busy in the bar area as a football match was on but everyone was friendly and staff polite and helpful Enjoyed our meal once again and the atmosphere 😊

Really good. Lovely food and service. Was a concern about recent negative reviews however no issues at all during our visit (except the accidental dropped tub of fries that was swiftly replaced 🙂) Partner loved the white bate fish.
