Welcome to The Red Lion Bishopgate!On the banks of the River Wensum and a stone's throw from Norwich Cathedral. We serve fresh, locally sourced food all day, everyday. Our head chef Tom has created a menu suitable for everyone, including gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. We serve a delicious Sunday roast every weekend.Brunch is also available every weekend 10:00am-12 noon (11:30am on Sundays). Please see below our food serving times:Monday - Thursday: 12:00-20:00Friday & Saturday: 12:00-21:00Sunday: 12:00-19:00 with a choice of roasts and bar classics.We always leave some tables free, so if you can't make a booking just pop in to see if you can grab a table! Large car park for customers.Please note, your booking is allocated for 2 hours. Tables in the garden are rain proof and we do have heating, but may not be suitable in heavy rain. Food was lovely. Shame they had run out of steak by 8pm. Staff were great and place was lovely. Tables were quite close in places but would go back.

On arrival I noticed the beautiful christmas decorations, which made for a lovely atmosphere. I had the chicken,ham and mushroom pasta dish and my friend had the moroccan nut roast...both dishes were very good, plenty to eat but we managed to find room for desserts, lemon meringue and the cherry pancakes ..these were also great. Service was friendly, and we didnt feel rushed. Would definitely return.
