The Prancing Stag is a family-run, award-winning neighbourhood restaurant specialising in modern, seasonal Scottish food, with the restaurant being awarded an AA Rosette award for culinary excellence 2022/2023/2024. The restaurant is just off of Crow Road beside Jordanhill train station, just three stops from the Exhibition Centre, Events Campus & OVO Hydro. We're also only a short walk from Scotstoun show ground for the Glasgow Warriors Games. So, perfect for all your meals & drinks pre (and/or post) match or concert.Our front of house staff strive to create a relaxed & friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy a meal with family, friends or colleagues. Reservations are for food bookings only – all drinks are first come, first served. Not trying too hard, not overly complicated, and EXACTLY what you are looking for; our menu is the fox's knees. We have got a great selection of Scottish beers on tap, and have recently created an extensive cocktail menu for you to sip on while you catch up with friends. From the kitchen, you can expect feel good pub dishes with a twist made from fresh, seasonal ingredients – we think yer granny would even approve! Foxes might not be great at sports (it’s hard when you can’t even wear shoes) but that doesn’t stop us from watching all the big games!     Small friendly restaurant , although limited menu food was excellent very tasty especially the pan roasted loin of red deer divine. Looking forward to my next visit.

    We had lunch with three friends today in Ardnamurchan. Four of us had the venison stew and one had the vegetarian option; stuffed hispi cabbage. Both dishes were excellent and the clean plates said it all. Three of us shared a bottle of Australian Shiraz which was pleasant but not quite as robust as we’d hoped for to complement the venison. Desserts were delicious; cranachan, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate cremeaux and the cheese was enjoyed by one of our friends. As one friend is quite deaf we found the booth we sat in gave us reasonable privacy and he was able to hear the conversation easily. The girls who served us were great; friendly, pleasant and efficient. My husband and I always enjoy meals at Ardnamurchan and were happy to introduce friends to it.

    Great meal and outstanding service for a lovely intimate restaurant Food quality excellent with plenty of choices and different specials menu each night Highly recommend but please note it’s not the cheapest place to visit in the area
