Inspired by the wood-fired Robata grills of Japan, Mizu offers a refreshed take on live-fire cooking atop the Hyatt Centric in the heart of Charlotte’s SouthPark neighborhood. Opened in August of 2021 and named one of 2022's "25 Best New Restaurants" and "50 Best Restaurants" by Charlotte Magazine, the rooftop restaurant by Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) combines the traditions of ancient Japanese cooking with Southern influences and Asian flavors. This was our 15th year to celebrate on Christmas eve at Del Frisco's. We have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff. It begins at the top with Buddy, truly one of the nicest people you will meet. Our server for the evening was Brad, a newbie to us, he was a pleasure all evening, I would recommend him to anyone looking to have a pleasant evening. Nicole the sommelier always comes through with a perfect wine for the evening. The meal was wonderful as always, and we always cap it off with the lemon cake, but as always taken home since we are so full. We will return in March for my birthday.

My husband and I enjoyed a date night out. We made last minute reservations and were able to snag a table at 8pm. We ordered our usual ranch rings for an appetizer and then both enjoyed a steak dinner. The fillet was cooked perfectly and my husband’s sirloin seasoning was exceptional. Don’t skimp on dessert! We loved the seasonal banana foster bread pudding!
