Located in the heart of Gramercy in the restored Assembly Hall of the landmarked United Charities Building, Hawksmoor is a steak restaurant that celebrates all-natural, pasture-reared, and traditionally dry-aged beef. Our beef is seasoned simply with sea salt and cooked over live-fire charcoal. Our seafood is locally and sustainably sourced from northeastern waters and we use small-farm produce whenever possible. On Sunday afternoons Hawksmoor keeps with the tried-and-true British tradition and features a Sunday Roast. Completing our offerings are award-winning cocktails, including New York City's coldest martini, and a carefully curated wine selection. The restaurant houses 150 in the dining room and 35 in the bar area. There are also two private dining rooms that can hold 12 people and serve exclusive, family-style menus.

    Review for Liberty House, New Jersey Liberty House offers a solid dining experience with a nice atmosphere and great views. The food was well-prepared and flavorful, and the drinks were well-made. Service was a highlight—our server was personable and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive.     It was a Post Valentine’s Date My boyfriend and I thought the food was great. The ambience was everything. The waiters were on point and engaging . More importantly the restaurant was very welcoming. We will definitely come back to this location in Jersey City.

    Came for Valentine’s Day, our resy was for 9:15pm and we arrived at 8:30pm but we got seated in less than 5 minutes which was nice. The best thing we did was order multiple appetizers rather than 2 main entrees. It was nice to sample the menu and the food was AMAZING. (the drinks too!)

    Edward’s is the best! The food is always amazing (Tuna Tartar, shoestring onions and any steak are my favorites). Don’t miss out by getting a table; Be sure to sit at the bar to meet some of the best bartenders in the business. Mickey makes a mean dirty martini. Definitely recommend.
