Our inspiration is the Zeus Faber… John Dory, one of many local fish that can be fished sustainably and from our shores and although it has a wonderful Latin come Greek name it also has a very British name, John Dory. Faber is the Latin word for ‘Smith’ – Like a few other Latin occupational names (e.g. Agricola for farmer, Nauta for sailor). Smith being the most common name in English we decided it sits well with our name as we want to be accessible to all and give everyday people the opportunity to be part of our journey and own the business they work in.What sets us apart is our commitment to working with local fishmongers who run out to the coast each evening to collect day-boat fish and local ingredients. A wonderful dinner for our honeymoon / first wedding anniversary. We’ve always wanted to come to Bibendum and we were so pleased that it was as lovely as we had hoped. We had the Bibendum burger which was delicious. Great service and a lovely little treat for our anniversary. Thanks!

Beautiful food and exceptional service - the best I’ve experienced in London in a long time. We dined as a big group for my wife’s birthday - food and service was top quality, and all the staff including the chef went out of their way to make sure all our guests had a brilliant time from start to finish !

Wonderful place in Hammersmith! Loved the decor, tasteful but not too intense. Moderately salted food, even a bit plain (mussels in cream sauce needed a bit more salt). Very fresh tasty oysters, a good selection of quality wines. Overall a well balanced menu, not too heavy for a late night dinner. A delight!
