“A stones throw away from Dalston Kingsland Station you will find The Dalston Jazz Bar. It’s a full on restaurant up until 10 PM. They serve an array of fresh seafood as well as yummy beer from a local brewery and cocktails. The live band plays throughout the night with a few breaks. After 10 PM they clear all tables and chairs to create a dance floor and this place then really starts to rock! We don't do vegan or vegetarian food. We specialize in fish. Westerns Laundry is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant focusing on seafood & natural wines. The restaurant is located in the Islington/Highbury neighbourhood of North London. It opened in 2018 and is housed in a 1950's industrial building which used to be home to the largest commercial laundry in North London. What an incredible experience. Amazing live jazz band, intimate setting, fresh seafood (including oysters)! It feels like a local treasure and I’m so glad I found this spot. I’ll be returning soon.

We were greeted as always with lots of smiles and a happy "Buona Sera" from Davide and all the team. Today we were celebrating my husband's birthday and were immediately spoilt with a glass of prosecco each to toast the occasion. We have our favourite dishes that we stick to but this evening we decided to try something new, so the birthday boy had Seppia Fritta followed by Vitello Tonnato and I had the Frittura (which I always have) but tried the Pesce Spada e Melenzane with casarecce pasta, which I might add was absolutely delicious and definitely worth recommending! My son had the spaghetti carbonara, followed by a juicy rib-eye and caprese cake for his dessert. It wouldn't be a birthday without a candle in the cannoli and a quick rendition of Tanti Auguri A Te Once again well done Marcus on a fabulous evening, if you have yet to visit, put it on your list and you won't be disappointed. It will become your new favourite restaurant, it's definitely ours!
