Our inspiration is the Zeus Faber, one of many local fish that can be fished sustainably and from our shores; although it has a wonderful Latin come Greek name, it also has a very British name - John Dory. Excellent menu and meals in a good atmosphere. Good selection of beers, as always, but our server was clearly new and didn’t know anything about what was available… we knew the regular ales and plumped for that.

The food here is always outstanding. The freshest fish and seafood in London. The service is always impeccable. Wine list is also really great. On this occasion I had a fish special of tempura hake with samphire and salsa verde - the tempura was the thinnest and lightest coating so as not to take away from the fish - impeccable. I had oysters to start which were also fabulous and perfectly presented. The atmosphere is intimate without being crowded. Fishworks never fails!
