The Bibendum Oyster Bar - a local stalwart - is steered masterfully under the direction of Lyon born 2 Michelin-starred chef Claude Bosi. The large tiled foyer of the great Michelin building remains, and it’s great for a glass of fizz and a few oysters (there are always many varieties to choose from), and also perfect to stay a bit longer for a more leisurely lunch or dinner. Expect plenty of fresh seafood; oysters, langoustine and the signature seafood platters - alongside a comprehensive yet affordable wine list. As well as dining inside the main "house", there are seats outside in the semi-open courtyard, and also in the prime spot of streetside on Fulham Road. If it does turn a little chilly, there are also some luxury blankets… Enjoy lunch, dinner and drinks at Bibendum.

The owner, Fons de Visscher was a respected fishmonger for 27 years in Helmond; a small city in the Netherlands, when he decided to start a new adventure. Driven by his passion for fish and great wines Fons created The Seafood Bar. The first restaurant opened its doors in 2012 in the Netherlands and now in 2021 we have opened our doors in London.From our fresh day boat Fish, Lobster's, Crab's, Oyster's to our larger than life seafood platters, all our food is sourced sustainably. Our inspiration is the Zeus Faber… John Dory, one of many local fish that can be fished sustainably and from our shores and although it has a wonderful Latin come Greek name it also has a very British name, John Dory. Faber is the Latin word for ‘Smith’ – Like a few other Latin occupational names (e.g. Agricola for farmer, Nauta for sailor). Smith being the most common name in English we decided it sits well with our name as we want to be accessible to all and give everyday people the opportunity to be part of our journey and own the business they work in.What sets us apart is our commitment to working with local fishmongers who run out to the coast each evening to collect day-boat fish and local ingredients. This means that everything on our menu is fresh, sustainably sourced, and supports the local economy.We believe in creating dishes that are not only delicious but also ethical and responsible.

    We had the pleasure of dining at Sexy Fish in Mayfair to celebrate my son Markell’s 28th birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience. We opted for the Fishmas tasting menu, which was absolutely outstanding. It was a treat to sample a variety of dishes, each bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The service from Nicolay was first-class—he was not only incredibly friendly and happy but also highly knowledgeable about the menu. He made sure to accommodate two nut allergies without any issues, which we greatly appreciated. Nicolay also took the time to capture beautiful photos for us, ensuring we had lasting memories of our wonderful evening. The entire experience was exceptional, from the delicious food to the impeccable service. Sexy Fish is a perfect choice for a special celebration, and we look forward to returning!
