In 1959, Frank and Tina D'Ambrosio decided to start a new restaurant venture along with their "Paisans" Mario and Enza Volpe, after Frank had much success with his first restaurant, the original "Frankie, Johnnie, and Luigi Too! In Mountain View, CA. Named after a good friend of theirs, they opened the original "Giorgio's" in the Foxworthy Shopping Center in San Jose, CA. One year later, cousins Anthony and Louise Dambruoso, affectionately known to the family as "Sash and Lou", took control of the restaurant and ran it for the next eight years. Pictures and paintings of these folks still grace the walls of the establishment today. In 1968, Frank's four sons assumed control of the restaurant and still own and operate it to this day. In 1997 they opened a second location in Milpitas, CA, in 2023 another in Morgan Hill and now back in Mountain View, where they still offer the highest standard of quality food, service, and value to their customers.     We went with my family of four on Christmas Eve. The food was delicious, the ambiance was great, and the servers were very attentive. I am always looking for new places to dine. I have already started thinking about what friends I can bring and introduce a new restaurant to that is close to home!

    Besides the food being the best around…prime rib truly melts in your mouth …the employees there are such great human beings! This was my mom's and my favorite restaurant. This was my first time dining without her. But instead of a sad night, my waiter, Ashely, and the staff went above and beyond for me when I came in on one of their busiest nights to honor my late mother and best friend. The compassion and kindness Ashely and her manager Peter showed me was unbelievable!! They are wonderful human beings and showed me that there are still wonderful people in the world.

    It was our first time at the restaurant, we have always wanted to try it so decided to go for a special occasion. We had a fantastic experience. The hostess and staff were extremely friendly, the restaurant was very cute and had an energetic noise level and energy. Batina took care of us and was the absolute best. We had the bourbon and rustic oysters, both were great! For our mains we had the crab and lobster linguine and the chipino with crab, would recommend both but if you can only pick one go with the chipino. Can't wait to go back!
