Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients.Proper attire required. We enjoyed a birthday dinner celebration for a friend. Daniel was our waiter and delivered excellent service. We enjoyed a table by the window so we could see the river. Be sure to check the menu and prices on line before going, so you are not surprised.

A wonderful experience start to finish. The Wagyu starter was out of this world. A true highlight off menu feature. Terrific presentation; unique without overpowering what A5 brings of its own. Ribeyes were just right. Many places in Atlanta have good food — Amber was taking great care of us and is a true professional. She made the experience. Well done all around.

Me and a friend decided to dine here for dinner and I’m so happy that we did! The ambiance is classy and lively. The food is top notch, prepared to perfection, and delicious. We ordered a few of the starters (wagyu meatballs, baked oysters, and crab claws) that were magnificent, followed by dinner plates that blew our minds. Definitely a 10 out of 10!!
