Jim Goode's love of seafood was born from a childhood spent along the sun-soaked Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast. It was this love for coastal dishes, Cajun flavors and time spent together that Jim passed down to his own kids - and to the plates still on our menu today. First time eating there food and service was excellent. Not a large place so it was a little noisy. A little pricey but in line for the quality of the food.Three of us had the Red Snapper and one had the Pork Chop they were all cooked perfectly and the Pork Chop was huge easily enough for two people. I had the Santa Cruz sauce and my wife had the Pontchartrain sauce both were excellent. Will definitely be back.

From the crispy shrimp and beet salad to the flavorful steak, caramel cake, and great coffee, every course was phenomenal. By far one of my favorite dinner experiences of the year and favorite steakhouses in Houston. Ask for MICHELLE A - Stellar waitress who was above and beyond and served with excellence and a great, fun attitude. Only complaint was the volume of the people sitting in the booth that is connected to ours.

Last night, my husband, a steak connoisseur, and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Mastro's. It was a pleasure to have the chef Erasmo come out and allow him to select his steak. Our server, Tyler was exceptional - friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food was top-notch, and the drinks were excellent. We highly recommend it.
