Elizabeth and I were very excited to open our restaurant in Downtown Stuart. After years of visiting our parents our hearts led us back here each time we considered a different location. Our son Taylor (our Executive Chef) and I, both have a culinary education and all three of us are extremely passionate about quality food,drinks and hospitality. We thoroughly enjoy taking great care of our guests. “the Gafford” is named after my grandparents who taught us how to enjoy life, have fun and laugh (especially at ourselves). My grandfather was in the Air Force and hospitality business all of his life and taught me so much about business, cooking and hospitality. I can remember when I was young visiting my grandparents on their farm. My grandfather used to teach me how to grill. My favorite dish to cook together was a giant Ribeye steak. On our menu, that is our signature item and we call it “the Gafford.” Welcome to the Gafford where casual meets upscale.

The Stuart Boathouse is a local's favorite waterfront dining location. The beautifully restored 1920's Restaurant is located directly on the river in downtown Stuart next to the band shell. Specializing in fresh caught seafood, oysters, sushi, as well as many favorites for the land lovers. Accompany dinner with a great bottle from our wine list or one of our signature cocktails. The Stuart Boathouse is great for special occasions or for just hanging out with some friends. The Stuart Boathouse is open seven days a week serving lunch and dinner. This was our second Thanksgiving there and i will say it was just as good as last year, for the money you get alot of food. The service was amazing, Karen was our server and this was the second time we had her. We were so surprised to ee she had remember us and was so glad to see us again. She goes out of her to make sure all your needs are taking care of. Thanks Kyle for another great Thanksgiving.

One of my favorite restaurants in Stuart. Always a great meal. We had oysters and the wedge salad and a hamburger and seared tuna. Everything was excellent including the service.

My wife and I eat here all the time. The food is constantly delicious. The owner frequently greets to make sure everything is up to his standards. Highly recommend the Gafford it is definitely our go to for dinner.

Our first visit, their first night with a new menu. Our food was unbelievably good, tasty and creative flavors in the mango salmon. Prime rib was good. Service including attention from the manager was awesome. We definitely recommend this place and will return when we are in Stuart again.
