Situated on level 33 of The Shard, Hutong at The Shard serves the fascinating and diverse cuisines of Northern China and is based on the much-loved restaurant of the same name in Hong Kong. Hutong at The Shard’s cuisine takes its inspiration from the dishes served in the imperial palaces of what was then Peking. Based on the ‘Lu school’ cuisine of Shandong Province, the menu artfully captures the subtlety and surprises of Northern Chinese cooking. Simmer Huang launched on the market in 2004. The main feature of its dish is to apply the traditional cooking method of ‘simmering’ to modern catering. Haidilao has a nice and friendly ambience then food taste good as well. All meats taste nice especially the sukiyaki soup its very flavourful. I hope they will add some barbecue experience as well

We made a booking for seven guests for my brothers birthday meal. We were given a nice warm greeting on arrival and had a nice table too. Our experience was an extremely pleasant one- the staff were attentive but not excessive. We had fresh cutlery placed inbetween our courses and the food arrived without us having to wait for long periods. We opted for the set menu, when some of the dishes arrived I initially thought the portions looked rather small- on reflection they were more than enough for us and as we werent able to finish everything we left with some nice grub to take home. The food here is flavoursome and good and without stereotyping it was nice to visit a Chinese restaurant where the food was not heavily loaded with MSG. We arrived ravenous and left happy and our stomachs more than content. We will definitely be going back and would 100% recommend this place.

Very nice. Excellent service, elegant decoration, and every dish is particularly delicious, very authentic. It is the best Chinese restaurant in Southeast London and highly recommended for everyone to come. Amazing
