Situated on level 33 of The Shard, Hutong at The Shard serves the fascinating and diverse cuisines of Northern China and is based on the much-loved restaurant of the same name in Hong Kong. Hutong at The Shard’s cuisine takes its inspiration from the dishes served in the imperial palaces of what was then Peking. Based on the ‘Lu school’ cuisine of Shandong Province, the menu artfully captures the subtlety and surprises of Northern Chinese cooking. A cocktail selection inspired by ingredients used in traditional Chinese medicine and stunning interior, complete with traditional Chinese red lanterns and beautiful hand-carved wood-panelled ‘Moon Gates’, offer London diners a new destination restaurant with panoramic views over London’s skyline. We currently do not accept OpenTable dining cheques.

Simmer Huang launched on the market in 2004. The main feature of its dish is to apply the traditional cooking method of ‘simmering’ to modern catering. It is cooked completely by the water of the food itself, without adding water to the pot. The main feature of the restaurant is to advocate a standardized Chinese food model of ‘no chef, no smoke, and no repeated use of ingredients’.

Dragon Inn Club is the most secret hideaway venue featuring ancient dark wood, bamboo, authentic ornaments and décor, recreating the voyage of the famous Silk Road. The open kitchen on the ground floor is a casual dining area, where you can pop in for our signature dim sum basket, Sichuan noodles or street market style small plates. On the lower ground floor, diners can enjoy a drink at our cocktail bar and choose to eat at either the ‘Dragon Room’ or in the hot pot ‘Temple Room’. For something more intimate, there’s a Private Dining Suite for groups and eight two-seated Private Caves along the ‘Silk Passage’ to choose, individually named. The cocktail bar offers an unique variety of signature drinks showcasing the Dragon Inn Club experience. But while the food might be a modern take on Sichuan cooking, the décor, which features antique furniture and accessories imported from China, makes you feel like you have stepped into 8th century China.
