La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. Interior Designer Libby Langdon has created a warm, inviting dining atmosphere. Rustic and relaxed, with plenty of old world charm. Oversize iron sconces custom made from antique wrought iron gates punctuate the walls, and artful displays of antique farm tools mixed with various authentic Italian photographs all add to the farmhouse appeal. We have eaten there several times. Everything was very good. Most important, although they had originally assigned us a very noisy table despite my request for a quiet one, they allowed us to choose a table in a quiet corner and that made for a huge difference.

This is truly one of my favorite places in all of New York. The service, food, and atmosphere exceed all expectations and most importantly, it is my mother’s favorite place to go to so the amount of wins here is enormous. It’s truly a special place.

Piccola Cucina never disappoints. Personnel is kind and attentive, the food is outstanding and the noise is decent. My go-to place when I crave Italian food! Burrata is always fresh and there are so many pastas that you can go several times in a row without eating the same thing. Alfio is the sweetest and kindest host, but everyone is really great.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. Everything from the ambience to the food was top tier. AJ was one of the best servers I’ve ever had! Would definitely recommend.
