At Rosie Cannonball, we’re serving European comfort food in a lively atmosphere. The restaurant celebrates the origins of cooking through open, live fire and is centered around a wood-burning oven and grill. The menu draws inspiration from individual ingredients: local vegetables, pastas and pizzas, simple seafood and locally-sourced meat cooked over live fire. Located in a former auto shop in the vibrant Montrose neighborhood near The Menil Collection and Museum District, Clark’s Houston is the third and largest location of our popular neighborhood oyster bar and seafood restaurant. Opened in Fall 2023, Clark’s features freshly shucked oysters, crudo, lobster roll, daily fish specials, caviar and blini, bowls of chowder and cioppino as well as a much-loved burger and shoestring fries.The restaurant specializes in martinis and signature cocktails as well as an extensive Champagne and wine list. The design is light, bright, and airy with nautically-themed touches including a centerpiece fish tank, teak wood furniture, bright white walls, and blue and turquoise tones.In addition to a marble-topped oyster bar and dining room, there’s a large, covered patio for prime people watching and oyster slurping. Clark’s Houston also offers a semi-private dining room for special occasions and events.

When owner Johnny Carrabba set out on his next restaurant venture, he knew his vision would include the fond memories he had of his dear grandmother Grace Mandola. Grace, also known to the family as Mama, was a Sicilian woman born to immigrant parents in Louisiana. She had a flair for cooking, hospitality, and deep faith.She was known to make bread from scratch every Saturday for her legendary three-hour Sicilian Sunday lunches; and, her newly established family roots in Louisiana added interesting flavors to her home cooked meals. The entire Mandola family, including her five children and fourteen grandchildren, was regularly greeted in her home with smells of warm bread, well brewed sauces and homemade soups. It was around her table that her family learned the true meaning and value of relationships, friendships and good food.

    Wow!! Attended their inaugural brunch today. What a remarkable dining experience!!! The food was outstanding, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our server Nicholas was highly attentive and made our experience even more memorable. We shall be back soon.

    Three of us met for lunch there today and had a perfect experience. I got the Yardbird, 1/4 fried chicken (I chose white meat) and it was some of the best fried chicken I have had in recent memory. It came with collard greens and mashed potatoes, both of which were great, although the potatoes were a bit dry. A friend got chicken and waffle with same fried chicken on a good looking waffle. The other got the bacon-cheeseburger with ground and braised beef. It looked totally awesome with hand cut fries. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Our server was attentive and checked on us a couple of times without being intrusive. I would strongly recommend this restauarant!

    Best food ever! The staff was wonderful, the chef is charming. The food was so good and the desert was something to write home about. We will be back in two years . Gumbo 5 stars. Fried chicken 5 stars can’t say enough about this restaurant and they accommodated a large group
