Even though Post is a new name for most of us, it has been an important part of South Hamilton history since 1924. The historic building at 16 Bay Rd. was home to the South Hamilton Post Office, and a place for residents to send and pick up letters. In response to the Great Depression, and a drop in the postage rate (from three cents to 2 cents), the Postmaster added more opportunities for residents to pick up their mail. At Post, which at the time was known as “the brick block building”, letters were piled on a table, and a bell was rung to let residents know that they could come and retrieve their mail. Keeping with that tradition, guests of Post will have an opportunity to “Ring the Bell”, which signifies that they have bought a beer for our hard working kitchen and waitstaff. Whether you are coming in to dine with family and friends, grabbing a drink and an appetizer, or picking up takeout on the way home, Post is here for you – rain or shine.

Horseshoe Grill in North Reading has been family-owned since the 1920s when it was originally a supper club for members only. That changed in 1957 and, since then, patrons have come from all over to sample the famous ribs that have made Horseshoe Grill an institution. The relaxing atmosphere inside makes it the perfect place to get to work on a rack of ribs, lobster Rangoon, Thai chili calamari or nachos. Loved it! The food was great. The vibe is fun and casual. It is loud, so if you are looking for a quiet conversational dinner this is not the place. Live music starts nightly at 9pm.

The food was excellent, everything we ordered was very good. If you want a cocktail off the menu they are good, otherwise stick to water. We went for brunch, ordered coffee which they had. Coffee is below average. We didn’t mind since the food was m very very good.

Our server was amazing! Great vide! Just there for drinks before the show! When a mixed drink came to strong she immediately could see something was wrong on my first sip. Took it back to to rectify! 2nd one was perfect. Chatted with us and told us about karaoke, line dancing and drag brunch. Super bubbly and enjoying her job. Will definitely be back!
