The building is an architectural and historical gem of great value! From the very first moment, we received excellent service from both the hostesses at the entrance and the waitress. The food was delicious, the cocktail, wine, and beer menu was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect for celebrating a birthday as a couple. We left knowing that we would be back!

Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Melissa our server was very personable. Shrimp and sausage and salmon were excellent. Dining room is beautiful. Tables are well spaced. Although located in the Hotel Petersburg, Shirley's is definitely not your typical hotel restaurant. If there’s one complaint, it's that all the convenient parking, including on street, seems to be reserved for valet parking.

I had a great time. It was my birthday! The only problem I had was my birthday wasn’t acknowledged by the staff. So if I was to bring my family to celebrate their birthdays it wouldn’t be special. But the food was great and our server was marvelous. Thank you for the experience.

A perfect place to eat when you actually want to hear the table conversation! Lovely ambiance, outstanding service (thank you, Tyler!), fine food. Worth the money. The Jefferson is still the epitome of elegance in Richmond.
