Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! Other menu favorites include our deviled eggs, firecracker shrimp, Atlantic grilled salmon, roasted pork tenderloin, and penne pasta with andouille sausage & shrimp. Getting our table was a bit chaotic. There isn’t much room to wait by the hostess stand. And I would have preferred a table further from the front doors, but everything from then on out was aces. Service was friendly and professional. The fried chicken and waffles were delicious. The maple bourbon syrup makes the dish. Will definitely return!

I am gluten free for medical reasons. There were several items I could enjoy on the menu and the fried entrees were prepared in dedicated fryers. That said, the food was delicious! Service was extremely attentive and the manager stopped over twice to make sure my meal was enjoyable.

I like ve this restaurant. The atmosphere is quaint, being in a historic home. The food was excellent. Great gluten-free options. We had crab cakes and a salmon salad. Both were perfect.
