South Texas Ice House, "Texas Cuisine" Products from the Texas Gulf to the Texas Hill Country."The huge snake logo on the outside of an otherwise nondescript building -- created by Bob "Daddy-O" Wade, best known for the oversize boots that front San Antonio's North Star Mall -- is your first hint that this place might be a bit, well, different. Inside, cowboy kitsch, 1950s diner decor, and Mexican folk art mingle, as do workers from the nearby county offices, local movers and shakers, and anyone else looking for terrific food that, like the decor, defies easy categorization.Call it South Texas gourmet. You can really taste the chipotle chilies in the tartar sauce that comes with some of the best crispy oysters this side of the Mason-Dixon Line, and the Gulf fish tacos are gussied up with chili lime aioli and Tabasco jalapeño onions. You get the idea -- lots of spicy dishes."

Daniel Berg is the Cofounder of Bill’s Oyster and Teddy’s Restaurant & Bar. Berg started his culinary career in New York, where he was also born and raised. Daniel attended the French Culinary Institute (NYC) as well as La Scuola Di Cucina (Colorno, IT). After completing culinary school he began working for critically acclaimed and James Beard award–winning Chef Andrew Carmellini. Berg would spend several years under Carmellini working for him beginning at Michelin-starred and three-starred New York Times restaurant A Voce. Berg would go on to help Carmellini open several more restaurants, including Locanda Verde, The Dutch and Bar Primi. He also spent a year working in Italy under Chef Massimo Montaro at the two-Michelin-starred restaurant Principe Cerami. Daniel would go on to work for Chef Daniel Boloud at his flagship three-star Michelin and four-star New York Times flagship restaurant Daniel, as well Eric Ripert’s Le Bernardin.

The Roaring Fork offers bold American wood-fire cooking with fine dining atmosphere. We serve dinner nightly starting at 5pm and Happy Hour daily from 4pm - 6pm in our bar and lounge area only. Sorry, no reservations for Happy Hour. Our bar and lounge is always open seating. Reservations are always recommended for dinner. Thank you for your interest and we hope to serve you soon.
