Camino was born with the opening of King’s Cross in 2007. Capturing the real essence of Spain was always the aim, and with the addition of Bar Rioja opening opposite ( this was previously Bar Pepito, London’s very first sherry bar) we came a King’s Cross institution. Tired of the loosely French inspired humdrum of restaurants popping up across the city of London? Do you like holidays? Do you like cold drinks and warm service? If you've answered yes to one or more of these then perhaps Tollington's can refresh both your pallet and your mind. The idea came from a mirror in an antiques market and a love for a more informal approach to dining, the result is a chippy in North London with old church pews bolted to the walls to be leaned on and eaten from. The focus is on fish but the menu transcends fish, mammals and vegetables, leaving no stone unturned in the never ending quest for flavour. Split between two rooms, the front the engine, the kitchen and bar shared by customers as they perch on bar stools and enjoy dinner and a show. First time at Decimo, and no doubt we'll be back again soon! Fantastic views of the city, and great service - felt very well looked after and the food was divine. Went for the tacos for starters and pork chop as main course - wine and drinks selection was spot on, and a perfect end to the day for my wife and I after a visit to the theatre. Would recommend :)

We were a big party with 4 small children and the staff were very helpful efficient and tolerant of the noise and activity of the little ones. We all enjoyed the food which was good quality and beautifully cooked.

I visited Ember Yard shortly before Christmas so it was a little more crowded than perhaps is usual, and the other diners seemed largely to be having Christmas outings. This did not distract, however, from the excellent food and the wonderful service! The staff were courteous, very helpful in explaining the menu and the drinks options, and considerate when checking if we were enjoying the meal or needed more drinks. They were a perfect combination of solicitous and discreet. The food was awesome: the croquetas were stand-out for me: crisp on the outside with a delectable creamy interior at just the right temperature not to burn your mouth but still deliver a full-flavoured experience. The lasagna was silky smooth and mouth-watering, and the tomatoes and sourdough were a great combination and delicious. I really enjoyed dinner at Ember Yard and would happily recommend it to anyone.
