Opera Tavern is a beautiful two-storey bar and restaurant in the heart of central London’s theatre land. Located on Catherine Street we are opposite the Drury Lane Theatre, seconds from the Opera House, a stone’s throw from The Strand and a lovely walk across Waterloo Bridge from the South Bank. A beautiful former pub, the exposed brickwork, bold artwork and flattering low lighting help our two-story restaurant create the perfect atmosphere for a pre-theatre meal or drink. Had a nice lunch but service was slow! Ordered arroz which understand takes longer but had to chase after an hour and it arrived a bit burnt 🥴 Staff were nice but too slow for city lunch unless you are having a long one .

Great selection of food with plenty of choice for every taste. Does tend to be a bit noisy. Not impressed with the service, one dessert arrived after everyone else had finished theirs and it was only a lemon sorbet.
