Casual waterfront dining right on the docks of the Patchogue River, The Oar serves up fresh and delicious steaks and seafood. Chefs prepare specialties like coconut shrimp, 36 oz sizzling prime porterhouse, lobster quesadillas and fresh Bluepoint oysters and little clams which are delivered daily. Two dining rooms are decorated in traditional nautical style. The front wall in made up of French doors that open onto the water, providing dockside open air seating in warm months and picturesque views of the marina year-round. The rear dining room is elegant with raise panel mahogany, white table clothes and blue and white nautical stripe wall paper. I hosted a party of 11 for my wife's birthday. Food was absolutely amazing with no equal. 11 people 1100$ with 250$ in tip . And I can say this anything for my wife. And the food was worth every penny. Great job tellers see you very soon.

We met with family for dinner and we had a fantastic evening. All entrees were prepared perfectly (filet mignon and short ribs). Calamari Appetizer was the best. No room for dessert. The only disappointment was that they were out of Heineken NA, and there was no alternative. The regular drinks were good. Service was outstanding and friendly.
