When visiting the restaurant, patrons descend 18 feet underground in a canopied glass elevator, accessed from street level, for a culinary experience unlike any other. The American Steakhouse offers an expansive 1,800 square foot subterranean courtyard allowing patrons to dine al fresco and enjoy a New Orleans-inspired exterior space. This cool oasis is complete with a 20 foot, 5-tiered granite water wall, multi-tiered landscaping, lava rock fire pit, and black granite bar. Dakota's below-ground patio has long been considered one of the city's most romantic dining spots.We believe the best steaks come from the best cut and quality. That’s why we get all of our beef fresh from renowned beef purveyors, Allen Brothers. Each cut is corn and grain fed USDA Prime steak that our chef handpicks. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Great food and service. Seafood tower, oysters Rockefeller, wedge salad, filet mignon then key lime pie for dessert. Every course was fabulous Will definitely be back

My wife and I have been to this Ocean Prime many times over the years. This visit was the best of many, many excellent dinners. We made reservations to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary after receiving the “Dinner for Two” promotional email. The food was excellent as usual, with the steak and lobster combo cooked and seasoned perfectly along with everything else. What made our evening so special, however, was the over-the-top service provided by Rodney C. and staff. He was superb, as was everybody involved. Our quiet seating on the indoor patio at a table sprinkled with fresh rose petals was a lovely and unexpected perk. We will be back soon. Highly recommended.
