THE CHATHAM CUT offers an especially unique, intimate dining experience.We specialize in freshly-cut meats. Our steaks are freshly-cut every day.The Chatham Cut does NOT use pre-packaged previously cut pre-weighed plastic-wrapped meat, or cook our steaks using the "Sous Vide," method as many other non-specialist restaurants do. Every "Cut," is fresh, which offers the special flavor profile our guests have searched for.Our offerings are prepared in the true steakhouse old-world tradition. Side options are also steakhouse traditional, with fresh vegetables as well as loaded baked potatoes.For those who love seafood, we offer our oysters, sourced from within walking distance and many exciting spins on traditional offerings. The Cut's Yellowfin Tuna is popular as a Tartar as well as our Sushi-Grade Entree.Plan ahead for your visit!The Chatham Cut is an intimate dining experience.We do not offer a wait-list. From July 1st, 1957, there had been two owners of Pates, Cloyde Pate followed by the Gardner family of Chatham. Mr. Pate opened the doors to what would soon become one of Cape Cod’s most beloved restaurants. Once a cozy hamburger and ice cream stand, Pates grew to be a place of celebration, camaraderie, and community. From the bonds staff made during countless summer seasons, to the engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, and family gatherings, Pates has been a backdrop for exceptional moments and people.     The experience was wonderful. The seating was perfect for a party of 6. The service was perfect in every way. The food was excellent and our server Jocelyn was very attentive, personable and engaging making for a very enjoyable evening. Other staff members were also warm and friendly. Highly recommend and we all will be going back.

    I had the three course prefix meal and was impressed with the large options from which I could choose. I had the fish soup was which was very tasty and I had the Marco Polo salmon which I found delicious and was impressed with the crispy skin. For dessert I had themoney ice cream covered with the chocolate sauce

    We loved our visit to Viera on Main. The restaurant is lovely and the food was delicious. We especially loved the clam chowder and the kale salad. The service was good, too. Highly recommended.

    This was our second visit to Ocean Edge, our first visit to the Terrace. There was a wedding reception the night we attended and we weren't able to see the water as the result. It was beautiful to be outside and the heaters helped keep us warm. The prices are really high on the food but the portions are not large. Next time, I will return to another local favorite which has delicious food and larger portion sizes for the price. Ocean Edge is beautiful, but I don't think we will return.
