The Caucus Club, located in the Penobscot Building, is an historic, stylish art deco masterpiece featuring two distinct dining spaces, historic bar and live Jazz. The front entrance leads guests to the elegant front dining room with the stage being the focal point. The back entrance leads to the dark and moody back room and bar with space for mingling, cocktails and dining. Adjacent to the bar entrance is the Caucus Club Kitchen, fully viewable from the hallway of the Penobscot building.The menu centers around the in-house dry-aging room, yielding Prime Steaks and Chops expertly butchered on site. Burrata, crab cakes, carrots, corn, filet with zip sauce, and chocolate temptation were all very good. Great ambience and service. A bit pricy but all fine dining is in today's economy. Will be back for sure.

Joe Muer’s Detroit is a wonderful special occasion restaurant. The food is outstandingly delicious, the service is excellent. Our waiter, Benjamin, provided very fine service. We had a great evening. The view across the river is great.

Our server, JB was so nice. She gave great recommendations; she was so down to earth and attentive. The food was outstanding and the portion sizes were generous. The atmosphere was relaxed, but they could probably use warmer lighting. The drinks were just okay for the price. I would visit again, especially for carry out.
