This is my second visit to the manhattan Joey in less then a month, love the champagne greeting, food selection & service but what impressed me the most was the guest service manager JENNIFER MATTOCKS, the first time we where there in December they assigned the wrong table (high) for us, the place was busy and buzzing, I asked them to please change it, the young lady seating us asked me to wait while she checked with her manager, out of curiosity I followed her with my eyes and I saw her talking to this very elegant lady that was wiping tables, removing plates and helping seating groups while answering questions from few of the waiters and servers. as she was approaching the front desk I asked who she is and she introduced herself with a big smile as the manager and she assured me that she will change my table and started directing the young lady to what to do and where to seat us, in few minutes we where seated and happy, I was utterly impressed about how she was handling multiple shores and accommodating demanding customers like myself while she is also in high heels and keeping a big smile on her face, an amazing model of great customer experience . Today 1/5/25 I was meeting with another group of 7 friends and they booked another place for lunch close to the beach, we sat down and again had an issue with our table and the staff couldn't help us and looked clueless, everyone agreed to leave and I got up and booked a table at Joey remembering what a great experience we had last time from the staff, as I was walking in, here was Jennifer again at the front desk as elegant as always, looked at me, greeted me with a smile and said welcome back confirming she remembers me.. !! As we where enjoying our meal on an outside table right by the entrance, a child walking in spilled a large bottle of water, immediately I see Jennifer running out with rags got on her knees started wiping the floor while directing customers and staff while putting up a wet floor sign...wow

My family and I went to Somerville on Saturday, Jan 5th and we had an amazing experience. Our server was Hassan and he was very knowledgeable, helpful and had an amazing personality. He joked around with us which made our experience not only enjoyable but real! We began our evening with adult beverages( Love Supreme, Nature Boy, Dunbar and a Golden Age) I am extremely picky about my drink and will send it back in a heartbeat if its not right. No problem here. Mine was the Love Supreme and it was perfect! Everyone was happy with their selection and they were not shy with the amount of liquor that was added. For dinner, we ordered the Parker Rolls, Oysters, Collard Greens Lasagna, Brussel Sprouts, Mary's Organic Roasted Chicken, Chicory Crab Salad, and Somerville Burgers. I sampled everything, but the unanimous favorites were the Parker Rolls and the Collard Greens Lasagna. Be prepared for a 20% tip to automatically be included ( we were a party of 4) I didn't mind this because the service was superb and I would have tipped 20% anyway. We will be back for sure!

Our SERVER was the best!!! And the other two assisting her were amazing too! Having great service makes ALL the difference. The food is consistently amazing. I was with a girlfriend and we were sharing a couple of dishes. They made it SO very easy for us! Thank you!

Excellent. I have been there 30 years ago and it was a delight to go again it was a very nice experience. Loved the sand dabs fish and they serve the best mash potatoes! The steak fries are to die for. My son said it was the best New York steak he ever had. He was turning 14 years old. He will always remember Dear John’s and his bday celebration. The cheese cake was delicious. And the wine list is exquisite. I just can’t wait to go back !

I have enjoyed Mother’s Day 2024 buffet! So I came back for Christmas Eve dinner with my family. It was great ambiance and food!
