Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca.     Food was fantastic. Great variety and quality of the meat was superb. Very tasty - perfectly cooked and seasoned. Side dishes matched the mains. The butcher’s chips and charred sweet potato were cooked to perfection. Cheesecake dessert was out of this world. Straight from the baking tin. Staff were very attentive and very friendly. Lovely buzz about the place. Choice of background music was 80s genius. Thank you for a lovely night.

    Our waitress, Jahs, was very attentive and efficient. Even sang "Happy Birthday" for my daughter when she brought the dessert with candle. The dessert waiter, Pepe, was very entertaining and made us feel happy. Food is consistently great. We love this place

    Had the valentines menu. Good price but what they call sharing sides are actually regular sides between 2 so we had to order more. The dessert that came with it was essentially a plate of whipped cream with some pastry and a sprinkle of fruit - terrible. They also put the tables way too close together so you get to hear the full conversation of your dinner neighbours. Other than that, the steak is tasty, our waiter very attentive and it was a nice time.
