Everything was great but our server was impersonal and less than trained/experienced for that level of fine dining. There was no spirit about the menu, no recommendations, and no interest in our story. It was a business dinner, with the VP, two long term employees and their wives. Very coffee shop like service. We were pushed to order, was asked a few times and it got annoying. He was shocked that we wanted a second bottle of wine. Somewhat awkward. He was never rude, just seemed bored. With drinks in the bar included, we spent about $700.

We arrived approximately 10 minutes early for our 6 o'clock reservation. We were greeted with warm smiles and escorted to our table. Our excellent serve staff were Imari and Larry. They both greeted us with "Happy 38th Anniversary," and said, "Welcome to Chops." We ordered Calamari as our appetizer, and our entree selections were, the NY strip and Lamb Chops, with Lobster Mac and Cheese, and Mushrooms. Our food was prepared to our desired taste. Imari and Larry continued to check on us, and they were, by far, our absolute best serve staff of 2024. Please pass our thanks to both Imari and Larry for their excellent service. Greg and Benita

The atmosphere was upscale steak house, with a moderate noise level so it made the experience much better than most steak houses. The waiter was attentive and very knowledgeable about the food and wines. The food was simply spectacular. The Wagyu carpaccio melts in your mouth and the fried capers added a delicious touch. I had the 30oz aged ribeye and it was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection as was my wife's filet. Overall perfect evening, even though pricing is steeper than expected...I have dined at similar places in NYC over the years, and this pricing was too much, but still worthy of a special event.

Reservations were easy online. Valet was professional and friendly. Our server was personable and attentive. I had the petite filet. Cooked & seasoned perfectly. My wife had salmon Oscar which she said was delicious. A wonderful Christmas eve meal.
