Absolutely amazing dinner! We had oysters Rockefeller and french onion soup to start, I had the Chilean sea bass and my wife had the 8oz Australian waygu filet with lobster risotto, we also had crème brûlée for dessert. I can’t even pinpoint one tiny thing that wasn’t perfect about this meal! Every time we are in this area we will be stopping here for a fantastic meal!

An incredible restaurant with impeccable service! Seating in the dining room was amazing, but a bit loud. The bar area had live music (Thursday - Saturday) and we grabbed a drink after dinner and really enjoyed the atmosphere here. Moody, dim lighting, velvet, old school, upscale. Plan to spend a pretty penny, but it’s so worth it! We started off with specialty cocktails that were delicious (Whiskey Sour and Dirty Martini). For starters we Oordered the Sausage and Peppers (9/10) which a very unique and tasty spin on the Italian classic, and Shrimp Cocktail (10/10) which was so fresh and delicious. We continued with the table side Caesar Salad (9/10) which was creamy and crisp, with the most delicious fluffy croutons. For our main courses we ordered the Lobster Pasta (10/10) that had an incredible presentation and delicious flavor with plentiful amounts of lobster. The Kansas City Strip (7/10) ended up being our least favorite, but it comes down to preference. We prefer Ribeye usually, but decided to try a different cut this time - it was cooked to perfection and charred deliciously though. We finished the night with the Raspberry Sorbet (10/10) which was light fresh and zesty! The Tiramisu (8/10) was great as well and a really big portion. A perfect place to celebrate!

Wildfire has been around for 30 years for a reason. Lively environment, great service, and they are one of the few steakhouses that actually includes a side versus gouging you with à la carte sides that cost a fortune. Though, $55 for a 10 ounce filet mignon felt steep. They made a spot-on dirty martini, and the food was delicious, especially the au gratin potatoes. 

Haven't been there in years. Will highly recommend. Must be under new management. This place will soon be a destination for south side steak lovers.

What a treat to rediscover RL after moving from Chicago a few years ago! On a bitter cold and snowy day, we decided on a last minute late lunch and had a marvelous meal. Our server, Amanda was outstanding, personable and enthusiastically answered my husband's questions about the walleye, which he throughly enjoyed. It was light and flavorful and deemed as good as (though he meant better) than the shore lunches he had while fishing in Canada. I enjoyed the off the menu special crab cake that was sumptuous and delicious to the last bite....better than the ordinary restaurant fare. Though we usually like to read the dessert menu and then pass so we can smugly congratulate ourselves on our willpower, we gave in this day when Amanda told us about the peanut butter cheesecake-like texture presented as a small cake shape and drizzled with chocolate. Boy if there was ever a time to deviate from our cautious approach to desserts, this was it! This was how do they describe it, "smack your mama good?" That was it. So good we talked about it on our way back home to Michigan...the entire visit this time renewed our love for Chicago and the little moments like this that mean so much. A great way to spend some time during a classic urban winter snow storm. Thank you Amanda and the talented RL chef!
