Joule, the first restaurant from celebrated husband and wife cooking team Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi, is re-located in October, 2012 to the innovative, newly developed the Fremont Collective in Seattle’s Wallingford/Fremont neighborhood. From its original opening in 2007, Joule has cultivated a loyal dining fan base and captured the attention of an admiring local and national media captivated by the couple’s unique, modern perspective on Korean cuisine. We are a 21+ restaurant and bar. Founded in 2018 by Joel and Matthew and purchased in late 2022 by Becky and Jon, the vision remains the same: Old English pub vibes, high quality food. We loved The Shambles from the minute we walked in and now we continue the heritage of what was created before us. On the food side: high quality steaks, cut in house. Cooks who have the freedom to create seasonal dishes ranging from foraged mushrooms to house made sausages. To go with your meal, we offer skillfully made, non-fussy cocktails, carefully selected wines, a plethora of beers, sours, and ciders on tap and a a robust non alcoholic selection. We top it all off with warm and knowledgeable service.     The atmosphere is great. We go to this restaurant for anniversaries and birthdays. The calamari appetizer is a winner. We had steak and seared ahi. Both were excellent and beautifully presented. Highly recommended for special occasions. We missed the Christmas boat parade but have seen it in prior years.

    Came for lunch. My sister had the tomato basil soup and a half club sandwich and I had the French Dip. Both were fine. Service was excellent.

    We were here for the 2nd year in a row to celebrate 2 birthdays in the family. Everything was wonderful again. We really enjoyed the views, wonderful service and excellent food. We also appreciate that it isn't loud. The person that chose this restaurant is under 30 and I think they even appreciate being able to carry on a comfortable conversation and not have to yell to be heard. Worth the drive to come here (from the Eastside) and enjoy a fabulous evening and a beautiful restaurant with family.

    As always, the food was phenomenal, the service (Dan and Cayden) were attentive, personable, and outright wonderful. Our ONLY issue was that there was an event going on upstairs that was so loud and obnoxious that I couldn't hear my own wife talking right next to me. The staff did what they could, but, as it was explained to us, given the separation between the two components (events and restaurant), the restaurant staff doesn't have any actual control over the events. If you're making a reservation, it is worth calling to ensure that they don't have an event going on upstairs at the same time.
