We chose Mastro's to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. We had a wonderful time. My server, Audra, was really great! I would surely ask for her again. The steaks were seasoned and cooked perfectly, but the sides did not wow us at all. The creamed corn and brussel sprouts both needed salt. The mac and cheese and garlic mashed potatoes were just fine. The ambiance was beautiful, and the bathroom was clean and bright, perfect for photos! The only take a way from the event was the host calling to confirm the reservation and, while doing so, explains how gratuity is paid. I'm not sure why she felt the need to tell me that, but it was very off-putting. All in all, we had a great time and I would visit again.

From the moment you step in, the atmosphere transports you to the Louisiana bayou, with its rustic decor, soft jazz playing in the background, and the spicy, savory aroma of Cajun spices wafting through the air. The menu is a tribute to traditional Cajun flavors, featuring everything from jambalaya to crawfish étouffée, and each dish seems to carry a story. The gumbo, packed with sausage, shrimp, and tender chicken, is rich and smoky, with just the right amount of spice. It’s one of those dishes that wraps you in comfort with every bite. Their shrimp étouffée is a must-try, loaded with plump shrimp and served over fluffy rice that soaks up the decadent sauce beautifully. For those looking for a kick, the creole and aged ribeye to perfection didn’t disappoint— it’s a flavor bomb of bold spices, perfectly balanced. And if you’re a fan of po’boys, don’t miss out on their shrimp po’boy: fried to golden perfection and nestled in a fresh, soft baguette with a zesty sauce. Finish off with a beignet, fresh out of the fryer, dusted in powdered sugar. The staff is as warm as the cuisine, making you feel like family. I never write reviews (just function of being old!) but I just had to write this one. When I made the reservation, I noted that it was our 45 year wedding anniversary and asked if they could do something special. I expected maybe a rose or a dessert so imagine my surprise when we were escorted into a private room. There were rose petals galore on the table, a card, a 45 large numbers and soft music playing! Service was excellent, staff came by to congratulate us and food was superb. Thank you, Tris, for an incredible experience. You have earned our gratitude and our future business. Definitely our “ go-to” dining venue going forward. We are lucky to have such a great restaurant in The Woodlands!

Our dinner at Drake’s was just what we needed for a date night and a special time together for my boyfriends birthday. I appreciate the grace as we were running late and the team was accommodating and kind, even though we were behind schedule and closing was at 10p. Thank you for the hospitality. A little bit of kindness goes very long way.

Great service. Sommelier was spot on. Waitstaff was responsive and dedicated. Truffle Ravioli was on point!
