Fantastic service by Debbie! Best pomodoro sauce I’ve had in a restaurant! Steak was outstanding!

Coming in from out of town for the weekend, I did my homework and researched steakhouses in the area. While Steak 48 wasn’t my first choice, it turned out to be an absolutely incredible dining experience - one I’m thrilled I didn’t miss! From start to finish, the service was impeccable. With what felt like seven different staff members attending to our table, every detail was handled flawlessly. Despite the many hands involved, the experience felt seamless and perfectly coordinated - absolutely a 5-star service. The timing of the food was spot on. It arrived promptly, but not so quickly that it felt rushed. The steaks? Perfection. Cooked exactly as ordered, with the kind of flavor that makes you savor every bite. A special of the evening, my stone crab appetizer was a standout! The sides and desserts were equally excellent, rounding out an impressive meal where everything was prepared to perfection. Our server was knowledgeable and personable, offering thoughtful recommendations that hit the mark. The atmosphere was another highlight: swanky, stylish, and elevated with a vibe and music that added to the overall experience. Steak 48 knows how to set the scene for a memorable night out. On the way to our table, I noticed some private booths. They looked incredibly cozy and romantic - perfect for a date night. I’m not sure if they can be reserved, but they definitely caught my eye for future visits! Steak 48 has just become a must-visit destination anytime I’m in town. Highly recommend!

The waiter seemed very inexperienced like it was his first night. I asked for a baked potato without salt and it had to be returned because the whole salt shaker was on it. I asked for mustard and got mayonnaise. Hamburger was tasteless!

Wife and I came here for my birthday dinner. We arrived about 4:45 and the doors were locked. It was cold so we went across the street to a store to stay warm. A few minutes later the sign was illuminated so we correctly deduced the doors were unlocked. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The don’t seat people until 5 (not complaining, website says they open at 5). We opted to sit near the bar, which was open and serving drinks. At 5 we were seated at a table near the back. Although the place is dark, our table was well lit. We even asked for the table number to request on our next visit. Our old eyes didn’t need phone flashlights to read the menu. Our waitress (Ashley) knew the menu and answered all of our questions. As the restaurant filled up, she had 5 other tables to serve around 18 diners. Two of the tables were pushed together to accommodate a large party. Service was relaxed but didn’t suffer because there were other employees to help out. We ordered drinks which came promptly. We each ordered the Wedge Salad which was a softball sized head of iceberg lettuce, halved and covered with deliciousness. We should have ordered one to split between us. Wife ordered the Pork Chop, I ordered the 8 oz. Filet Mignon. Both were delicious and done to perfection. Of course, the real reason we chose Butcher & Singer is the Lemon Icebox Pie. We opted to take it to go. All-in-all, a great experience. We’ll definitely be returning.

Last night at Barclay Prime in Philadelphia, PA was magical. The purpose of our visit was to celebrate a family member who is going to a military academy soon. The staff was attentive to this and surprised her with a small cake with a candle on it, and "congratulations" was written on the plate they served her the cake in. This was a very nice touch, it surprised our family member, and left her with a core memory and boost during such an important and special time in her life. Thank you Barclay staff for a wonderful experience.
