In 1962, Johnny Harlowe made the jump from the silver screen to chef and owner of Dear John’s. Convinced by his pal Frank Sinatra, Johnny opened the iconic spot just a ways down from Sony Studios on Culver Blvd. It became the watering-hole for the Hollywood elite with Sinatra often in the corner playing the piano against the dark brick walls once lined with portraits of famous John’s.     Great dinner as always. Our favorite waiter, Geoffrey, took excellent care of us and the kitchen delivered as usual. Love it here. Even the valet, Allen, was attentive and friendly. Will come back again and again!

    There was a beautiful table, generous cocktails, and a delicious dinner. But the topper is that I did not finish my dinner; it was beautifully packaged and placed in a black take-out bag for me. I forgot the bag when leaving the restaurant. I was walking down San Vicente, and I heard someone calling my name. It's Quentin, our waiter, bringing me my leftovers. Amazing, above-and-beyond-service. Baltaire is in my top five restaurants in LA. Quentin, thank you again.

    This was my first experience at a steak 48 chain and I must say it was amazing!! Doug was our server and he was exceptional and knowledgeable of every single aspect of the menu. He acknowledged our food allergies and was very cautious of making sure we had a wonderful experience. Everything was delicious and well prepared. I will be frequently this restaurant in the future.
